Theory of Change Workshop
Theory of Change Workshop and ROSHNI-2 Dissemination Event
The Manchester Global Foundation (MGF) recently hosted an in-person Theory of Change (ToC) workshop at its newly acquired office space at Aldgate Tower, Aldgate East in London. The workshop was conducted to inform a maternal well-being program for British, Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic Women and was carried out by Dr. Rakhshi Memon, Director of MGF. Dr. Deepali Sharma, Consultant at MGF, set the stage for the workshop by introducing the key elements of the ROSHNI-3 intervention. The participants for the workshop represented various organisations including Ethnic Health Forum, Maternity Mates, and Save the Children. Among the participants, there were perinatal health experts, social prescribers, research managers, programme coordinators, participatory research commissioners, research operations managers, and two mothers with lived experience of postnatal depression. The workshop was very engaging and clear recommendations emerged after the session regarding the way forward.
The ToC workshop was followed by a dissemination event, conducted by Ms Farah Lunat, Research Operations Manager, Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust, England. Ms Lunat presented the journey of ROSHNI-2, a clinical trial for British South Asian women with postnatal depression. She also presented key findings related to the trial and the dissemination plan for the results in the coming months. The mothers with lived experience of postnatal depression stayed through both events and shared valuable cultural insights into the experience of postnatal depression for British South Asian women
