Mahmood Ahmed is an experienced trade and business development professional with a distinguished career spanning over a decade in international trade, economic diplomacy, and policy advocacy. Since 2015, he has been serving as Additional Secretary General at the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), where he leads multiple key departments, including Exhibitions, International Relations, Global Connectivity, and Human Resources.
Previously, Mahmood also headed FPCCI’s Policy Research Unit, where he played a pivotal role in advocating business-friendly policies to the Government of Pakistan. His contributions in shaping policy frameworks and fostering public-private dialogue have significantly impacted Pakistan’s trade and economic landscape.
Mahmood has extensive expertise in global trade promotion and has successfully organized over 50 international trade delegations and exhibitions worldwide. His strategic insight and ability to connect global chambers, trade organizations, and business leaders have positioned him as a key figure in enhancing Pakistan’s global trade footprint.
In addition to his role at FPCCI, he serves as Secretary of the Muslim Trade Forum (UK), an organization dedicated to the economic empowerment of the Muslim business community in the UK. Through this platform, he facilitates trade connectivity between UK businesses and OIC countries, promoting investment and commercial ties across diverse industries.
