As a Research Coordinator and Outreach Officer for the Manchester Global Foundation (MGF), Khalifa Fofana brings a dynamic and innovative approach to community engagement. Leveraging his background in International Business Management, he is passionate about making research accessible, relevant, and impactful for diverse populations.
Khalifa plays a key role in MGF’s Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) strategy. He specializes in building trust and fostering strong relationships within the African and Caribbean communities across the UK, acting as a vital bridge between academic researchers and community members.
His work involves close collaboration with key third-sector partners, including the Ethnic Health Forum, as well as foundational international collaborators like the Pakistan Institute of Living and Learning (PILL). He is skilled in developing a wide range of dissemination materials and supports capacity-building initiatives, such as leading project management workshops for partners. Before this role, Khalifa gained invaluable experience supporting numerous global health projects as a Research Administrator and Personal Assistant to Professor Nusrat Husain.
