Dr. Tanjir Rashid Soron

Dr. Tanjir Rashid Soron is a practicing psychiatrist, researcher and entrepreneur. He has extensive experience in clinical psychiatry, digital mental health, implementation research, and community-based mental health programmes. His work focuses on expanding access to quality mental health care for underserved and vulnerable populations, including people living in urban slums, remote communities, climate-displaced groups, and caregivers of persons with autism.
Dr. Soron has led and contributed to nationally and internationally funded research and implementation projects supported by organizations such as NIH, NIHR, Wellcome, WHO and Autism Speak. He is actively involved in designing, developing, and deploying culturally appropriate digital mental health solutions, including platforms such as Moner Jonto, Moner Kaj and Moner Daktar. His approach combines clinical expertise, socio-ecological participatory co-development, public health principles, and technology-driven innovation.
Alongside his academic and clinical work, Dr. Soron serves as Managing Director of TRIN Ltd and NiHealth Ltd, where he leads initiatives at the intersection of health, technology, research, and social impact.
