Dr Mirza is an accomplished developmental paediatrician with a wealth of clinical experience and excellent skills.  She qualified as a doctor in 1987 and did her core training in Pakistan.

Dr Mirza has been working as a paediatrician since 1993 and as a neuro-developmental paediatrician since 2001. She did her Post-Graduate Diploma in Community Child Health from Warwick University and Masters in Child and Adolescent Mental Health from University College London (UCL). Her NHS role included assessing and managing children and young people referred for range of behaviour and developmental problems. These included pervasive and neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism, ADHD and sleep difficulties. She was responsible for safeguarding assessment of children for physical and emotional abuse, writing reports for the social services and statements for police when requested. She regularly advised and contributed to the functioning of the multi-disciplinary professionals.

Dr Mirza was the Medical Adviser for Adoption and member of the Adoption Panel. She carried out Adoption medicals of Looked after children, validating medicals of prospective adopters done by their GPs. She also met the prospective adopters and advised them regarding the prospective child to be adopted.

Dr Mirza is a member of the British Association of Community Child Health (BACCH), British Association of Adoption and Fostering (CORAM BAAF) and Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (ACAMH).

Dr Mirza believes in giving back to the community. She has supported various NGOs, held neurodevelopmental clinics and trained people abroad
