Day 2: Bioethics Summer Program

Day 2 of the Bioethics Summer Program on Tuesday, August 6 featured thought-provoking conversations. Ameer B. Khoso and Bushra Ali presented on Fundamentals of Good Clinical Practices and its Role in Clinical Trials, followed by Ethical Decision-Making in Clinical Settings with Dr. Rakhshi Memon and Muqaddas Asif. Participants in groups practiced ethical decision making using a model designed for healthcare settings and a case study.
Dr. Rupsa Banarjee discussed Ethical Challenges in Clinical Trials, and Prof. Sarah Edwards concluded the day with Pandemic Ethics. The sessions included meaningful discussions around informed consent and the challenges of ethical research in LMICs.
